This is a 4 week course 2.5 hours per week. Learn the basics of cutting glass and creating a stained glass panel using the copper foil (tiffany) method.

Advance your copper foil techniques with more intricate panel work or learn 3 dimensional work (boxes, kaleidoscopes, etc). You could also learn how to lead a panel or advance your lead techniques. Improve your soldering. Everyone in class may be learning something different!
Prerequisites: Previous stained glass experience is required.
Cost is $125.00 Class runs Thursday evenings 6:30pm to 9:00pm.

The Lamp Seminar consists of a series of demonstrations and
displays to build a copper foil panel and Tiffany-style lamp shade. Techniques discussed are vellum patterns,
jigs, foiling, flux, soldering, vase caps, spiders, lamp components, and more. Special topics are MS ExcelŽ
algorithms that can custom design lamp panel dimensions, an elliptical cone lamp, and a conical lamp. Attendees
will not build a lamp in class, but will be given a CD (MS WordŽ and MS ExcelŽ) with instructions and algorithms
to construct lamps on their own.
Prerequisites: Beginner level experience in the copper foil
method is helpful.

Beginners Fusing Class Introduction to Fusing Cost: $250.00

In this class students will learn the basics of fusing including:
Glass Compatibility
Behavior of Glass at Varying Temperatures
Basic Kiln Use Perpetration of Molds and Kiln Shelves
Students will complete two projects over the two class sessions. A small fused piece such as a jewelry pendent, refrigerator magnet or Christmas tree ornament and a larger piece using both fusing and slumping or draping techniques taught during the class.
Basic project materials will be provided, additional items may be purchased. Students should have basic glass cutting skills and wear comfortable closed toed shoes.

These workshops are designed for those who would like to expand on the basic skills taught in Introduction to Fusing. Each class will focus on a specific technique such as draping, slumping, fusing or glass weaving. Each student will design, cut, and assemble the piece during the first day of the workshop then participate in scheduling the firing for the piece. On the second day of class, those items requiring a second firing will be prepared and fired.

other fusing experience
